Reckoning

Justice and revenge can look uncomfortably similar from a distance. Across an unfolding series of fragments, the group must decide how much certainty is enough, what makes punishment legitimate, and whether a wrong outcome gives anyone the right to correct it.

When does justice become revenge?

Thought Experiment: Reckoning

For years, people told themselves the same comforting story.

That justice is patient.
That truth returns.
That what is deserved eventually arrives.

But justice and revenge have always worn the same face in the dark.

Both can wait. Both can remember.
Both can learn to call themselves justice.

The difference is simple.
One asks what should be done.
The other stops asking.

No spoilers. No clean answers. Your position may not survive the night.
